Food Security and Agriculture

OCHR has successfully implemented 20 projects in the Food Security and Nutrition sector, reaching 68,411 households and benefiting 478,877 individuals. These initiatives have been pivotal in addressing food insecurity and malnutrition in the communities served. Key activities under these projects include the distribution of standard food baskets through the FSAC cluster, ensuring that families have access to essential food supplies. Additionally, OCHR has provided nutrition kits containing high-energy foods, biscuits, and super cereals (WAWMUM), which are crucial for combating malnutrition, particularly among vulnerable populations.

Moreover, OCHR has supported agricultural livelihoods by distributing animal feeds and agriculture kits, enhancing food production and sustainability at the household level. The organization has also conducted technical training programs, benefiting 22,000 households, to improve agricultural practices and food security resilience. These comprehensive efforts highlight OCHR’s commitment to not only addressing immediate food needs but also promoting long-term food security and nutrition, thereby fostering healthier and more self-sufficient communities
