Provision of emergency livestock packages to shock affected communities in eastern Nuristan. This initiative was funded by UN-OCHA (AHF), targeted 600 households in Kamdesh and 400 households in Barg-e-Matal districts.

The program, successfully carried out by OCHR FSAC team with full transparency, provided essential resources to protect livestock from the harsh winter weather.  The intervention, resulted in the rescue of thousands of animals, effectively mitigating the negative impact of the cold wave.  The success of this program is evident in the positive results observed on the ground.

Mirafzal one of the project beneficiaries from Nangal village of Kamdesh district added about this assistance: “We are pleased and very happy for this specific livestock assistance, definitely it will cause rescue our livestock from hunger in the cold season and can enhance the family income of our community”.
